Access to economic and health training across Africa

Prospectus
Summary
1.1 billion people still live in extreme multidimensional poverty, with no access to the basic means to lift themselves out of poverty, like adequate nutrition, safe drinking water and enough income.
Between 2025–2028, FARM STEW plans to spend $10,090,909 to train 31,250 families, about 179,688 people, across 7 of the most impoverished countries in their Bible-based curriculum that teaches families: 1) How to grow and consume more nutritious food through improved agricultural methods and tools, 2) How to prevent disease through safer home hygiene and sanitation through latrines and tippy-taps, and 3) How to increase their finances through better money management and income generation methods. By empowering these communities to drill about 100 water access points and starting over 500 VSLA's, they equip entire communities with sustainable access to safe drinking water and savings and loans groups, empowering at least 1000 volunteers to ensure the sustainability of this community transformation. As a result, they expect about 25,000 families (80%), 143,750 people, to pass FARM STEW's endline survey for being above the poverty line.

Story
Meet Morris
Morris lives in South Sudan. By going through the FARM STEW, Morris learned how to irrigate and grow corn for food and business. Morris used his profit to upgrade his home with a solar panel to have electricity for the first time, and to be able to sell electricity services in his community. These profits helped his family thrive during the famine season.
